Form I-134 Sponsor Requirements
- Any legal resident (Citizen, green card holder, even parolee) of the United States who can prove that they have the finances to support themselves and a refugee.
- Willing to agree to financially support the person or people you are sponsoring if they require it. (Given current benefits provided by US government and our site, that support is not needed for the refugees signing up on this site.)
- Willing to have finances and tax returns reviewed by U.S. federal immigration officials.
- Meet 100% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines income level for your household size.
- Sponsors do not have liability for the refugee/parolee.
- All parolees are screened and undergo a full biometric background check.
- Parolees are not required to live with, pay or work for the sponsor.
